Love & Care’s Elf Day for Alzheimer’s Society

At Love and Care, we believe Christmas is about more than decorations and celebrations it’s about kindness, community, and making a positive difference where it matters most. This festive season, our team did exactly that by taking part in Elf Day in support of Alzheimer’s Society, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we achieved together.

Elf Day brought a wonderful sense of fun and togetherness to our workplace. With elf hats on and festive spirits high, our team came together to spread joy not just among ourselves, but far beyond our walls. What started as a light-hearted Christmas fundraiser became something deeply meaningful.

Thanks to the generosity, enthusiasm, and compassion of our team, we raised an incredible £245 through our JustGiving page. While that figure alone is something to celebrate, the true impact of our Elf Day goes far beyond the amount raised.

We were honoured to receive a heartfelt message from Georgia in the Fundraising Team at Alzheimer’s Society, who shared just how much our efforts mean:

“Your time, energy and kindness have brought real festive cheer while making a meaningful difference to people affected by dementia. Elf Day brings a special kind of magic a moment to come together, lift spirits and spread joy and thanks to you, that magic will reach far beyond your event.”

Those words perfectly capture why this cause is so important. Dementia affects individuals and families during some of the hardest moments of their lives. Because of our Elf Day fundraiser, families will receive vital support, carers will gain access to life-changing advice and guidance, and researchers can continue their work towards the first life-altering treatments for dementia.

Our contribution will help ensure that someone in need can turn to the Dementia Support Line, that carers won’t have to face their challenges alone, and that hope continues to grow through groundbreaking research.

This Christmas, our Elf Day reminded us that small acts of kindness can have a powerful ripple effect. By coming together, we didn’t just share festive spirit  we shared hope.
